Quiet Privacy Policy

Quiet ("the app") is a 3D noise-mapping tool published by Sangat Ltd. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Quiet.

The short version

Quiet does not collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. Everything Quiet does happens on your iPhone, and it stays on your iPhone.

What Quiet does on your device

• LiDAR scanning: Quiet uses your iPhone's camera and LiDAR sensor to build a 3D model of the rooms you walk through. This model (the "dollhouse") is stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
• Microphone: while you scan, Quiet reads loudness (decibel) levels from the microphone so it can paint a noise map onto your 3D model. Quiet never records, stores, or transmits audio. It only ever reads a stream of numbers (how loud, not what was said or heard) and discards the raw audio immediately after each reading.
• Scans and reports: the rooms, scores, and any reports or share images you create stay in the app's local storage until you delete them or delete the app.

What Quiet does not do

• Quiet has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server. There is nothing to log into and nothing to lose if a server goes down, because there is no server.
• Quiet does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or any other third-party tracking.
• Quiet does not sell, rent, share, or transmit your scans, audio levels, or any other data to anyone: not to Sangat Ltd, not to Apple beyond what Apple's own platform requires to operate the App Store and process payments, and not to any other third party.
• Quiet does not know who you are. There is no name, email, or account identifier attached to anything you scan.

In-app purchases

Subscriptions and the one-time Pro purchase are handled entirely by Apple's App Store / StoreKit. Quiet only asks StoreKit whether you currently own Pro access. It never sees your payment details, and none of that information is stored by Quiet.

Data deletion

Because everything lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes all of your scans, reports, and settings. There is no copy anywhere else to delete, because none exists.

Children's privacy

Quiet is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, adult or child, because it does not collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be published at the same URL.
